This is Tim Noriega. Tim works in facilities management for Cypress College when he isn't sneaking around harassing cats out in Parking Lot 6, destroying their water dishes, wasting college money and time building silly little metal guards to harass cats. Cypress College pays him to do this but they may not know what he's doing out there because he's a sneaky little bugger. Always sneaking around to avoid work. Driving in circles on the campus to look busy and avoid doing what he is actually being paid to do. Setting cat traps on Friday night. What does Tim do with those cats when he comes in on Saturday morning? They vanish into thin air. I've caught him a few times setting these traps on Friday night... but Tim escapes responsibility because Cypress "Safety" refuses to review the surveillance video camera footage. If they do review the footage and they do nothing to stop this behavior, they are then complicit.
.
I've known Tim for a couple years. He has been trapping cats since I met him. At first I thought this was sanctioned by the school since he seemed to have the support of the department and was openly doing it. I have worked with him to contact Orange County Animal Care to remove cats from the college because he presented himself as in charge of the cat removal, removal being the operative word. I've advocated for a trap/spay-neuter/release (TNR) program from the beginning but the school has allowed the cats to have litter after litter of kittens. I've told them over and over the first thing that needs to be done to bring a cat colony into control is to stop the endless litters of kittens but Cypress College has stuck with their misguided approach of allowing cats to have three or four litters of kittens a year and incessantly complaining about the cats and kittens on campus. I've fed well over a 100 kittens out in parking lot 6 because Cypress College misguided policies. This has led to extreme violence against the cats by Cypress College employees and death of cats by people that work in the maintenance department. As well as harassment of me.
This photo of Tim Noriega was taken Tuesday, May 7, 2024 after I confronted him for dumping out the water container for the cats. He lied to me and claimed that it was leaking and he was just cleaning up the area. I know that's a lie because the water container was brand new the night before when I placed it, replacing the one that was taken from the day before. You can't trust Tim Noriega. Tim Noriega is a liar. It was clear the water had just been dumped out because there was a concentrated wet spot, not a spot that would be created by a leak that had been leaking for 12 hours. In the blog area of this website is a photo of a pile of smashed water dishes left behind by Cypress employees (Tim Noriega) that have to unlock the gate, go inside the enclosure, and smash the water dishes. The employees, paid by Cypress College, while on the clock, go out of their way to destroy the cats water dishes. Another water dish destroyer, Brian who drives a lawnmower for the college, smashed water dishes on a days that were 105 degrees and a young litter of kittens was depending on it for their survival.

A few minutes after this photo was taken and Tim was ranting at me, I was walking away, he got in the motorized cart you can see over his left shoulder, gassed it and came to within a foot of me while passing me to try to intimidate me. I immediately called Cypress Safety to file a complaint for harassment by Tim. Cypress "Safety" did absolutely nothing to protect me from their lunatic employee while I'm on campus.
Shortly after this happened another maintenance worker drove his work cart slowly out into the parking lot looking directly at me, giving me the evil eye, then spit toward me with disdain on his face. Then another employee (I think his name is Micheal) slowly drove around the parking lot and circled back around me and passed closely by giving me a dirty look. This is all comically stupid but that's what I'm dealing with out in Parking Lot 6. Comically inane people being paid by Cypress College harassing me because I have the audacity to feed the cats and advocate for an industry standard Trap-Neuter-Release program, the only kind of program that works with community cats.
I explained the situation to the Safety Officer Anne-Marie, what had happened and that immediately after he zoomed by me I yelled at him and he stopped the cart and started yelling at me again then went over to where another employee was standing who had observed the incident.
I told the officer he was going to go 'get his story straight' with the other employee and lie about strafing me with his work cart and that he had just told two lies to me already. One, that he was just cleaning up the water dish because it was leaking and two, that I had dropped off cats at this location and the third lie he will tell is that he didn't strafe me with the cart. I told the officer the water dish was just inside the fence and she could go look at it to see that it wasn't leaking if he hadn't broken it because it appeared he has stacked it on top of some others and it didn't appear broken. She chose not to look at it. There is also a camera mounted on a tall pole inside the maintenance yard that may have captured this. I came back a couple hours later and noticed that all the water dishes had been removed from the area so I'm thinking Tim realized his lie may be questioned and came back to remove the evidence before it was collected by Cypress Safety, but prove me wrong Cypress Safety. Did you allow Tim to destroy the evidence?
I have a lot more to write about Tim Noriega's trapping operations. At one time because it was so obvious a rogue employee (Tim Noriega) was engaging in a nefarious operation in the maintenance yard, Cypress Safety retrieved the two cat traps, under the direction of Craig Lee. They have since been returned and very recently have been active again.
