NEW! ADOPT A CYPRESS COMMUNITY CAT
Winter was murdered on January 24, 2023. Her body was found in the northern maintenance enclosure at Parking Lot #6 with a broken neck.
As you can see, Winter had her neck broken and cast aside inside the northern enclosure. Blunt force trauma is the consistent cause of death of the Cypress College Cats.
Simon suffered a blunt force trauma injury by getting hit with a rake in the maintenance yard about a week before Winter was found in this state. He was strong enough to get away and survive for a couple weeks before he was re-traumatized and eventually captured and put to death because his injuries were too severe and he was declining rapidly. Last time I saw him he could hardly control his rear legs and was staggering around pretty much out of control. Euthanizing him was the humane thing to do. Hitting him with a rake is a FELONY punishable by three years in prison in the state of California.
